        AIDS/HIV Education
This one-hour workshop is a fact based HIV/AIDS education training with an emphasis on encouraging prevention behavior. This training covers the myths and facts of HIV/AIDS and is a useful first step for groups with no previous experience with HIV/AIDS education. Additional training is available after the initial workshop.
 
        Alcohol Awareness/Binge Drinking
A portion of this workshop focuses on educating the audience about the effects of alcohol, specifically on younger people. The other portion of this workshop focuses on the glamorization of binge drinking and the reality of what happens when someone consumes five or more drinks in one sitting. The presentation will include local county data on underage drinking, the effects of alcohol on the body, and discussions on some of the newer alcohol related issues.
        Baseline
Baseline is a two-day program that allows the participants to establish their baseline beliefs about alcohol and other drug dependency, and learn how alcohol and other drugs impact individuals, families, and communities. The training is very interactive and includes a variety of activities including family sculpture, guest speakers, group discussion and more.

 

Drug Endangered Children

A child living or visiting a home where methamphetamine is being manufactured is exposed to immediate dangers and to the ongoing effects of chemical contamination. In addition, the child may be subjected to fires and explosions, abuse and neglect, a hazardous lifestyle, and other risks. This program will help you learn more about the silent victims of illegal drug manufacturers and abuse.

 
Drug Trends

This workshop is full of information about commonly used drugs and drug paraphernalia and covers popular trends happening in today's society. The training also presents items you may see but not recognize as related to drug use, and provides a large display of drug related items and paraphernalia.

 

Kansas Tobacco Retailer Training (SYNAR)

This training is for tobacco retailers and providers information about the laws regarding sale of tobacco products to minors, and what the penalties are for breaking those laws. Techniques for age verification, recognizing fake ID cards, and tips on refusing to sell to minors without alienating customers are presented.

        LifeSkills

          LifeSkills Training is the highest rated, recommended & researched school-based

          substance abuse prevention program today. It is uniquely designed, proven effective, and

          grounded in over 20 years of research. Rather than simply teaching information about

          drugs, LifeSkills combats the underlying causes of substance use.

 
        Methamphetamine Awareness
Methamphetamine is the fastest growing drug threat in America. In can be produced in the home, motels, cars and many other locations, leaving behind hazardous waste. Learn about the drug, how to recognize the ingredients used to make it, and how to recognize the sign s of a clandestine meth lab. Programs are available from one to four hours.
 
        Retail Meth Watch
This program is designed to limit the accessibility of products containing ephedrine or pseudo-ephedrine, and other precursors used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Training is available for retail personnel including managers and employees to help identify potential "meth cooks," and provide information on how to report suspicious behaviors.
 
        SPICEline
This is a one-day program that provides information concerning older adults and substance abuse. It covers medication mismanagement, alcohol dependency, concerns among older persons, and other important topics. A resource manual is provided.
 
        TIPS
TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) is a program targeted towards patrons in the alcoholic retail business. The training is designed to teach participants (bartenders, wait staff, and retailers) acceptable standards of practice for serving alcohol. Three different workshops are available and are tailored to 1) on site establishments such as bars or restaurants, 2) off site businesses such as liquor stores and gas stations, or 3) universities.
 
        Too Good For Drugs

Too Good For Drugs is a school-based prevention program proven to reduce the intentions to use alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. Developed by the Mendez Foundation for use with students in grades K-12 (5 to 18 years old), Too Good For Drugs has a separate, developmentally appropriate curriculum for each grade level including an after school program. This curriculum is designed to develop personal and interpersonal skills relating to alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) use; appropriate attitudes toward ATOD use; knowledge of the negative consequences of ATOD use and benefits of a drug free lifestyle; and positive peer norms.
